Hydrotech systems offer a more advanced treatment process than typical entry level pour-through pitchers or faucet filters. At the heart of the system is a reverse osmosis membrane which removes impurities as small as an atom! Additionally, your water passes through a series of sediment and carbon filters – eliminating any unwanted tastes and odors giving your water a polished, fresh taste! Get back to drinking water the way nature intended it!

What does "Gallons Per Day" mean? Many people think that the reverse osmosis unit will produce that specified amount of water per day. This is usually not true. All Hydrotech units come with a holding tank that holds about 3 gallons of water. Once the tank is full, the unit will automatically stop producing water and will shut off. The "gallons per day" rating of a membrane, is how much the unit could possibly produce, under ideal laboratory conditions. However, no one has ideal laboratory conditions. If the supply water has a little iron or is a bit little hard or if if there is mediocre water pressure; it is possible to compensate, to a degree, by buying a unit with a "larger" membrane and GPD rating.
Larger does not mean "larger"All the units are physically the same size. A 50 GPD unit is the same size as a 75 GPD unit and they both come with the same 4 gallon tank. The difference is how fast it can fill the tank.
There is a small price difference when it comes to Hydrotech's GPD sizes. The faster the unit produces water, the less time it operates!
